Weekwell
AI Processing Consent
Your consent for Weekwell to send meal photos you choose to an AI service for a protein estimate.
Version 2026-10, effective October 1, 2026
What you agree to
You agree that when you tap to estimate the protein of a meal, Weekwell sends the photo you chose to an AI service so that it can identify the foods and estimate portions and protein. Nothing is sent until you choose a photo for an estimate.
What is sent
The photo, resized to at most 1024 pixels on its longest side, a fixed instruction and the name of your app language. No name, email address, account identifier or other health records are sent with it.
Who processes it
Anthropic processes the photo; if Anthropic is unavailable, Google’s Gemini API does. These providers may process the photo outside the European Union, including in the United States, under the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, and under their terms for API customers they do not use it to train their models.
What is kept
The photo is processed in memory and is not stored by Weekwell. The estimate you saw is kept for 24 hours so it can be delivered reliably, and a technical record of the request (time, status and cost, without the photo) for up to 400 days. Only the protein you confirm is saved with your records.
An estimate, not advice
The estimate comes from an AI model and can be wrong. Check and correct it before you save it. It is not nutritional or medical advice.
Optional
This consent is optional. Without it you can still log protein by hand and use every other feature of Weekwell.
Withdrawing your consent
Turn off AI meal analysis in Settings → Privacy & data at any time. Photos are no longer sent from that moment; withdrawing does not affect estimates made before. Deleting your account also withdraws this consent.
Legal basis
Your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a) and, because a meal photo relates to your treatment, Article 9(2)(a); KVKK Articles 6 and 9). More about how Weekwell handles your data is in the Privacy Policy at https://weekwell.odbs.tech/en/privacy-policy.
